While they would normally be considered the competition, it stands right now that both companies have something that the other would like. What do the specifics of this deal involve? Suzuki will be allowing the makers of the forth-coming i to have access to the platform that the European-exclusive Suzuki Swift, and in return they'll receive the EV tech that Mitsubishi employed, known as i-MiEV.

Consumers will soon gain a new choice in the EV segment, and those who are looking for a model like the Swift may soon get one in the United States under the Mitsu badge. All around, both automakers will gain a new efficient model to their lineup, and that spells more savings for everyone who invests in either vehicle.
